Hezzie Holden

Hezzie is from south LA. He has lived in Townsend TN for 6 years. He has been carving for 18 years. Hezzie carves about 6 hours a day. He shows his work at the Townsend Visitors Center several times a year. He carves wild life, cottonwood mark houses, spirit faces and cypress knee santas. He has studied with Mike Bonner and Burt Fleming in south LA., Rick Branson in Branson MO, Stu Martin in Kansas, Larry Rogers in Montgomery AL, Carol Jean Boyd, Gene Webb, Rick Jenson, Neyland Hale, Jim Wilsford, Ken Carter and Billy Reynolds all in TN and numerous others. He also carved in Sweden this year, He is a member of Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers.

Hezzie Holden released his fall 2013 Christmas Collection to Smoky Mountain Art Gallery, and has been a featured artist ever since. Don’t miss your opportunity to buy one of his one-off creations!
